i believe in radical positivity.

Belief in yourself is a powerful thing.

Allowing yourself to find your own beauty is life changing.

Art is everywhere if you look for it

Sometimes it's even in the mirror

I’m Jess Beck, a poker, boudoir, and travel photographer based in St. Paul, Minnesota!

Person with tattoos and beard posing against neon lights with a beverage.

On October 9th, 2024, I quit my stable job, photographed UnderOath at Myth Live, got sick at the show, quit smoking, woke up the next morning and flew to Tulsa, OK for training on how to be a poker photographer.

It's been the coolest fucking thing I've ever gotten myself into.

Through travel, reading, and risk taking, I've rediscovered a love for myself and my passion! I'm excited to bring you on this journey of self-discovery and self-permission.

To unlearn the bad things. To create space for goodness.

The other main driver in what I do is my condition, Larsen's Syndrome.

If you don't know what Larsen's Syndrome is, I trust that you know how to use Google because it's too long to describe here.  What I do have time to tell you is that I know that I likely won't be mobile forever, so I want to do what I can while I can.

I currently live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my best friend, partner, and world's clumsiest human being Jade and our three cats. Jade had Harley, the orange tabby, before we got together. Later on, we adopted Norbert from a shelter in Lincoln, Nebraska. Our third cat, Oliver, we found in the trash in Phoenix, Arizona.

Apart from the personal crusade towards radical positivity, my work has allowed me to do some things that I never would've thought possible. From covering festivals like SoWhat?! and Ashley for the Arts to covering the World Series of Poker circuit events, to your favorite bands...I'm forever grateful for the experiences that this has allowed me to have and the people that it's allowed me to meet. I hope that if we've crossed paths that I've made your journey a little brighter!

I no longer live in Nebraska.

It sucks there.

Fact 3

Safety is the most important thing to me because my reputation is more important to me than anything is to you.
